Vegan Chicken Style Gravy

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of raw nuts
  • 2 Tbs. arrowroot powder (or 3 Tbs. whole wheat flour)
  • Sea salt to taste

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 4 cups of vegetable broth
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Prepare the Nuts


Use either a high-powered blender or coffee grinder to 

Prepare the Wet Ingredients


Pop the chopped onion, vegetable broth, soy sauce and oil into the blender. Blend until thoroughly mixed.

Add the Dry Ingredients


Add the chopped nuts, arrowroot powder and sea salt to the blender. Blend well.

Cook in sauce pan.


Pour the mixture into a sauce pan. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
